Fernando Tafoya, the most experienced lawyer in the firm, graduated from Hastings College of the Law, University of California, San Francisco. He received his license to practice law in 1990. In addition, he holds a master's in political science from the University of California at Berkeley.

Fernando Tafoya has received numerous awards, including Fernando Tafoya Day in Fresno and the MAPA President's award. Fernando was named 1L Professor of the Year from 2021 to 2023 at Thomas Jefferson School of Law. He has also served as an advisor to multiple elected officials and has managed many political campaigns.
